A man of vulnerability

Achilles was known to be the strongest, ruthless and brutal warrior of his time. In every war, he proves that he is the strongest by killing his opponent brutally. As what happened to Hector, Achilles killed him with no mercy. Hector has no chance to win against him, so he used that advantage to kill Hector easily and do everything he wants.

Achilles finished. Then on noble Hector's corpse he carried out a monstrous act. He cut through the tendons behind both feet, from heel to ankle, threaded them with ox-hide thongs, and then tied these onto his chariot, leaving the head to drag behind. He dimmed up into his chariot, brought on the splendid armour, then lashed his horses. They sped off eagerly, dragging hector. A dust cloud rose above him, his dark hair spread out around him, and Hector's head, once so handsome, was covered by the dust, for Zeus had given him to his enemies to dishonor in his own native land. So all his head grew dirty (22.520.231-232).

That proves that Achilles is a very dangerous, strong and has no mercy on his opponent. He doesn’t listen to the opinions of others, hard to be stopped. For me, Achilles only desire for power and glory. But on the positive side, we can say Achilles is a true friend, by seeking for revenge for his best friend Patroclus whom Hector killed. We can also say that he doesn't fear anyone and he do what he think is right.

True hero in my life

Being hero does not necessarily means to sacrifice his life for the country, but for me you may not do what our heroes/heroines done in the past, but we can do it in simple ways like obeying the laws and doing what is right.

I know a woman who is my HERO, she's not only a housewife but also a MOTHER she is Erlyn Espinola. Even without experiencing it, being a mother is really hard, like she takes care of the child for 9 months and gives birth, do the household chores, works for the family, and many heavy responsibilities.

She is sacrificing for us, even though sometimes I didn't notice or appreciate it or I didn't obey her, she still understands and loves us. From the saying "Mother knows best", I say that the reason why they become strict is they just want to protect us and NO mother had ever wanted her child to get hurt. I remembered when my mother was unemployed, she find different ways to help my father in sustaining our needs and education. She didn't show any weakness and didn't give up. She still prepared the food and teach my youngest sibling and my 3 cousins on their assignments and projects even she's tired doing the household chores. I admire her so much and she serves as my inspiration to be successful.

I'm very thankful that I have this kind of mother, responsible, very caring and a loving MOTHER and I want to take this opportunity to say SORRY whenever I'm disobeying you. I'll show my gratitude to you by making you proud of me, study well and to take care of you when you get old.
